Preparation for birth - that's what many women and couples worry about. What comes after is often not considered and they forget that the birth is not the end, but a - THE - beginning. The beginning as a family, as a couple with a child, as parents of another child. In order for the postpartum period to be relaxed, families need support during this time as well. As expats, you may not have family members in Switzerland, so I can be a valuable support as your doula.
My postpartum tasks may be:
- cooking meals
- meal planning
- emotional support
- help in dealing with the baby / baby care
- support with the organization of everyday life
- reflection on the birth
- I have an open ear for your concerns
- support in breastfeeding (no breastfeeding support / Stillberatung)
- light housework
- grocery shopping
- go for a walk with you and your baby
- go for a walk with your baby
- accompany to appointments
- discussing questions about the new family situation
It is a great effort for me to support you as you need it at the moment.
I would also like to bring awareness to you with regard to further
family life in order to prevent exhaustion.
The tasks are defined together in the preliminary discussion and are adapted to the needs of the family.
Important: my dog accompanies me to the appointments on site!
You can choose one of the following packages:
Package Comfort 8:

Package Comfort 16:
- Non-binding get-to-know-you meeting* approx. 30 - 45 min. via Skype / Zoom
- The tasks will be defined together in the first meeting
- Emotional & practical support for your family
- e.g. 8 x 2 hours (16 hours) **
Package Comfort 24:
- Non-binding get-to-know-you meeting* approx. 30 - 45 min. via Skype / Zoom

Additional Out of Pocket
Expenses:
- additional hours will be charged with CHF 60.00
- for travel costs between Mühlau and your home I charge additionally CHF 0.80/km
- parking fee
according to receipt

- gift certificates (amount at your choice)
** At least 2 hours per assignment, from 15km driving distance from Mühlau to your place of residence at least 3 hours per assignment.
What a Doula doesn't do:
- I will neither make decisions of any kind for you nor will I speak directly to the clinical staff (doctor or midwife) regarding any medical issues you face.
- I won’t carry out any medical or physical examinations and treatments.
- I do not do any cleaning work such as weekly cleaning, window cleaning, spring cleaning, etc.
